"Serenity" fans refuse to let their favorite film die.
The browncoats, as director Joss Whedon’s rabid fans are known, wielded enough Internet clout to resurrect canceled cult-TV show "Firefly" onto the big screen as the movie "Serenity."
Now they’ve gotten "Serenity" back into theaters. As part of a worldwide benefit for Equality Now, which works against violence and discrimination against women and girls, the 2005 sci-fi/Western will screen at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Loft Cinema, 3233 E. (...)
