Early on, Cordelia Chase or Cordy as she was affectionately called, did not seem the most likely character to become a Star. Originally, designed as a simple, two-dimensional rival to Buffy on the schoolyard of Sunnydale, Cordy’s potential grew season by season through all the most classic story-telling devices into a well rounded fan favourite.
