is this interview new?

Thursday 1 July 2004, by Anonymous :

Nope it’s from last June. You can really tell because it has the same interview quotes about Venitian Heat from interviews last year. :-/

James is wrong.

Joss said in his Chosen commentary that he told Sarah: "Love him when you say you love him." Joss said James and Sarah misunderstood the script.

And let’s not forget Buffy in First Date: Why does everyone in this house think I’m STILL in love with Spike."

No, this interview came out last June after the end of Season 7 of Buffy.

Also in The Girl In Question, Andrew says to Spike and Angel, "Buffy loves both of you, but she’s got to live her life."

Even James admits it....this may be old, but Buffy is always going to love Angel.

Of course Buffy really loves Spike!!

In "Never leave me",when Buffy discovers that he’s been triggered, there’s a scene so clear about that (thanks to Sarah’s playing, plus the way it’s shot...): her speech to the gang, when she tells them what to do, in order to understand how and who controlls him. What striked me is the fact that : this was exactly her same reaction before, when ANGEL was in trouble!! (go see old seasons again)This is for me what proves without a doubt, not only that Buffy loves Spike, but also that Spike really has replaced Angel in her heart.

This is by the way the reason why she gives Spike the W.& H. device Angel was supposed to wear. The amazing shot when she puts it in his hand means this, for me: he’s her champion....and he’s her man. Not Angel anymore.

Spike is "chosen".

Someone wrote that for Buffy it was mostly about sex with Spike. But, before the final battle, they spend an entire night in the arms of each other, eyes in the eyes, while everyone else is making love. Their link has evolved to an other level...beyond sex.

If in the final scene, when Buffy says "i love you" to him, Spike answers "no you don’t ", it’s maybe because he hates himself so much since he got his soul back : he explains this to Buffy: "having a soul is about self-loathing" (cos’ of the guilt of course, in Freud’s sense of the word )...this is what makes it hard for him to believe in her love. Deep down, he can’t think he deserves it.

and ...James can’t either... ;) this is so interesting by the way...why is that? because of the rape scene he felt so bad to play??? well i’ll stop there, i could write for hours. If James wanna talk about this ... with pleasure! (hahaha my dream...)

Thankyou Kaysha, I totally agree.

But, the reason I think Spike told Buffy she didn’t love him was to save her life.

If they had gotten all lovey-dovey Buffy would have held onto him and died with him. By rebutting her he saved her.

Also at a recent convention James said that he believed Buffy loved Spike ’in her own way’

I know she will always love Angel - he was her first love afterall but Spike is her new man and will stay that way.

Poof to that sto-opid Imortal dude.

Finally I will never understand why people can’t see how much Buffy and Spike love each other - denial is bad people, try and get past it. -_^

p.s I’m happy to rationally speek to anyone on this subject.
