For a series billed an alternate universe, it is disappointing to see the story brought back to the original universe. That works fine for a single episode like The Wish or a short story, but it is a disappointment for an entire trilogy to to do.
In any case, if that wasn’t your decision and if you didn’t have a chance to correct the spelling mistakes (btw, thanks for some information on the reasons behind the poor proofreading of many modern novels), why take umbrage at the complaints about it? However, I agree with you that Amazon should let authors respond.
