I recently gave Veronica Mars a chance - I didn’t know much about it and the name of the show wasn’t enough to attract me to watch it or even read a synopsis of it - then I happened on a blurb that it was "Buffy’esque" minus all the supernatural parts...
I couldn’t imagine this but gave a chance anyway - and became an instant fan. It certainly "feels" familiar, and Bell is excellent (and reminds me more of a cross between Buffy, Anya, and Willow all mixed in - viewers can make there own decisions if they agree and which parts contribute to which aspects of the character).
