Monday 4 April 2005, by Anonymous : There is one missing to the accents of shame: David Boreanaz’ in Angel’s flash back scenes... I mean it’s like he isn’t even trying...Monday 4 April 2005, by Anonymous : They left out Kevin Costner’s English accent from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (one of the all-time worst), or from the same film, two of the best, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio’s English accent and Morgan Freeman’s Moorish accent. From the Buffyverse, credit should be given to Juliet Landau and even Anthony Stewart Head (Tony may be English, but he’s not from the same part of England that Giles is, so he sounds significantly different in interviews). Monday 4 April 2005, by Anonymous : JM’s accent is very good. It was a bit ropey at first and I knew the "accent" was false, but I did believe he was English. AD lived in England for 15 years so that is bound to have helped with his accent and I agree that his is an excellent accent. But don’t forget that JM did several accents, the prim William, the loutish Spike and a happy medium of the two. DB’s accent was getting better. Honest. Bless him for trying.Tuesday 5 April 2005, by Anonymous : Alexis Denisof may be American, but he lived in London for 13 years, hence the authentic accent.Tuesday 5 April 2005, by Nikkole : I think one of the worst accents was Nicolas Cage in Con Air. I think that wasd one of the WORST fake accents I have ever heard. IMO. And, I thought that Winona Rider had a horrable accent in Dracula.Friday 8 April 2005, by Anonymous : I am English and I still stand by my previous post, it’s up there somewhere *points up*, that originally I knew his "accent" was false but that he was English. DB’s accent did improve. AD’s accent is good, but he’s had the benefit of living in England for 15 years. JL’s accent is apparently accurate for the timeframe of when Drusilla was from. Of course I don’t know any Victorian Londoners personally, but if I find one I’ll let you know. :0)Thursday 7 July 2005, by bluacid : The funny thing is...the accent that Catherine Zeta-Jones used in Traffic was her own!!!These comments are an anwser to this article : James Marsters - The Art of Mimicking - Best Fake Accent - Spike is #3
