'Happily' hindered by bland script
The revitalization of animation over the past decade has been a welcome thing.
However, it's a little discouraging that so many of the films fall into two increasingly tired categories - talking animals that must cope outside of their environment or revisionist fractured fairytales.
All the CGI technique in the world isn't worth much without imagination and originality.

Grim viewing in 'Happily N'Ever After'

The showing I attended for Happily N'Ever After was interesting. Seated behind me with her parents was a child from about 9-12 years in age. She said around at least a half a dozen times, “Mom, is the movie over yet?” Folks, this is the first and only sign one needs of a horrific film.
