This is a very slight week. That said, I have chosen The Crow: Wicked Prayer as my pick for this week. I do not hide the fact that The Crow is my favorite film, plus I have been a fan of the entire run so far. Granted, the second film was not terribly strong, but the third was underrated, it took a different tack on the concept. Here's a film that I wanted to just go gaga in love with and instead it pelted me in the face everytime I thought I was about to like it. I love Lance Mungia's first film, SIX STRING SAMURAI - I think he's a very talented filmmaker - but this is a text book case of a troubled production hurting the film.
