I do believe I finally own a working DVD player/burner. The kind I want, with the VCR built into it to, so I can move stuff from video tape to disc. Sarah Michelle Gellar told SCI FI Wire that she turned down a chance to voice her most famous role in a proposed animated version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer because she couldn't devote the necessary time to the show. Writer David Fury stopped by the Bronze Beta and updated 'Buffy' fans on where the long-awaited "Buffy" cartoon series currently stands.
According to Fury, they're still trying to find a home for the show - which takes place in Buffy's highschool years - but the Showtime network has been rumoured.

The June 20 issue of TV Guide reported that voice actress Giselle Loren will take over Sarah Michelle Gellar's starring role in a proposed animated Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, for which a pilot is being produced. Sources told the magazine that Gellar chose not to reprise her role, leading creator Joss Whedon to recruit Loren, who previously voiced the character in the video game Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its sequel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds.
