I don’t want him on the show - he sucks! BONES is great and David Boreanaz wil ruin it I never liked him on Buffy and I hated him on Angel.

yeah, what do tou want? go go...

David B, and SMG are such egotistical monsters. They spit on the characters that made them famous. I’m almost positive that they laugh at the fans of Buffy, and Angel. I wish I never would have watched those shows. Why couldn’t JAmes Marsters, and Alyson hannigan be the big stars of the Whedon shows? They are grounded, nice people, not arrogant, mean spirits like the other two. I hope DAvid Borean....I mean Angel’s new show fails miserably. Look at James Marsters he’s gung ho about doing a spike movie. He’s no cry-baby.

Alright I thinks it’s official. There will never be another Buffy, or Angel show or movie. Man, William Shattner had a huge ego, but even he went back to do the Star Trek movies, and pleased the fans. It just goes to show you what Sarah Michelle Gellar, and David Boreanaz think of their fans.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Anonymous :

I think that the day will come when both DB and SMG will beg to do a Buffy,or Angel movie. They aren’t exactly big Hollywood stars. That Bones show of his will be cancelled, and we all know he will never be a movie-star. As for SMG, her movies stink!! Her fans from Buffy were the ones that made that stupid Grudge a hit, but if she keep’s on saying she’ll never do Buffy again, then we’ll stop supporting her movies.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Anonymous :

SO its okay for JOSS to have a career away from BUFFY or ANGEL but not DB or SMG? They still need to earn a living. ANGEL was CANCELLED or has everyone forgot, DB didnot walk off of the set. Joss said he was DONE with BUFFY after season 7 for awhile. Although, I dont think DB or NB show has a shot though being on FOX.

It’s as though Davids turned his back on his fans, he doesn’t even do conventions now does he. I think last years Halloween convention was his last. To me his fans are what got him where he is, if it wasn’t for the growing amounts of fans watching the Buffy and Angel shows then he wouldn’t be where he is now.

I think it’s wrong when a ordinary, down to earth person becomes wealthy and has a celebrity status and with that new found fame and money they turn into big headed people, with egos the size of a small country, I think it’s pretty sad really considering James Marsters loves his fans and still finds ways of interacting with them, he still does conventions and other T.V projects aswell as doing tours all over, I loved seeing him in Liverpool earlier this year at The Cavern.

James has never forgotten his fans and it’s such a shame that some celebrities can’t take a leaf out of his book.

Why does everyone give them so much crap! Yes, so they don’t want to make a Buffy Movie, big deal. DB gave us eight years of him playing Angel, and SMG gave us 7 amazing years of Buffy. No wonder they want a break! I want a Buffy/Angel movie too, but I don’t get pissed at them for not making one. It’s only been two years since Buffy has been off and one since Angel.

Give them a break!

Saturday 30 July 2005, by give me a break :

good grief ... read the post ... David said he owed a lot to Angel, he just didn’t want to talk about it at a meeting for his NEW show. That’s not unreasonable. David has always said he’s grateful for Angel and loves Joss’s work and would bring Angel back to the big screen if the opportunity presented itself. Kristin said she wrote this from notes scribbled on a napkin... maybe we should wait for the complete transcript. For some reason Kristin posted this with an inflammatory subject line ... she seems to be anti-David lately. ... stop the bashing and give David a break ...

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Spangel’s girl :

People, people, when will everyone get it ? David does love his fans and appreciates what Angel and Buffy have done for him ,but how would you feel if all everyone did was judge you only on work that you have done before. How would you ever grow professionally or emotionally if all anyone did was ground you in one role . I would love for David to do another project from the Whedonverse but as an actor he still needs to work. He cant wait around and wait for the chance that an Angel Big screen movie would get a go-ahead.He has said in the past that he would like a big screen version of Angel ,but if it is not to be then shouldn’t we just appreciate the work he has given us? His next roles to come can only enhance his skills as an actor . Any true fan would only want the best for David and that may mean leaving the Whedonverse behind. If that has to be then we should wish him well in his future and not whine like petulant children that cant get their own way. That’s my opinion anyway.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Anonymous :

god you guys should be so grateful for all DB and SMG have done they have given about 8 years of their lives to these roles. and SMG is always saying how proud she is to have played buffy, how amazing it was, that is was a desicion she would 2nd guess for a long time, that it was "virtually impossible" to quit, etc etc. i think SMG is very grateful for the role of buffy and wil never forget it. a movie probably wouldnt work, and they probably know that. plus it has been such a short period of time since both shows have ended and i dont think they are ready to jump into roles they just finished playing. i personally think it is smart of them to wait.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by JGA :

That’s so mean :( I mean I try to understand it from the actor’s point of view after years and years of being on a show and wanting to move on but they have to understand that it means a lot to us and- damn seriously i’m dissapointed in David B.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by robyn :

DB and SMG can do whatever they please with their careers. Unlike what some fans think, I don’t believe that they owe us anything. They gave years to us. They played their parts to the fullest till both shows came to an end. Buffy ended when it should have. And Angel was cut short by the network, not DB. I don’t blame them one bit for wanting to move on with their careers. Would I love to see them in a Buffy/Angel movie? OF COURSE! But I am not going to bad mouth them if they want to leave that part of their careers behind.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Anonymous :

Gee guys, if I just got a new job and all my boss kept talking about was my old one, I’d be pretty pissed too. He probably feels like he’s not being respected as an actor, and people are only casting him based on a character he played and not his ability as an actor.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by SUSAN :

I guess I can see his reasons about getting annoyed, always being asked about Angel especially when the show has finished. And yet thats all they can think of talking about when he on a talk show...He has other movies out..and wants to talk about them...not every second of the day ANGEL..sure there might be in the future an Angel movie...But untill then give David some thing interesting to talk about instead of his character Angel and his torched soul. And ANONYMOUS@>if you dont like Sarah or David..Why are u here. How can DAvid ruin "Bones"..You make no sense to me...????

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Eduardo :

Hold on, Hold on!

yes..SMG is. But DB has always shown a lot of love for Angel. It is ok to move on once is done, the thing with SMG is that she almost spits on Buffy...she pays no respect for the fans. Never went on conventions, never took 1 hour of her day to do a commentary on the dvd. And that’s when the show was on the air. She left Buffy.

David continues to go to conventions. Did commentary. Came back to Buffy on the last episode as a thank you and tribute to the fans that "created" him. He was on board untill the WB killed the show. If it were up to him he would do a 6th season. Unlike SMG.

It is definetaly ok to afterwards start to think about other things...you can’t live etternaly on one moment that has gone(one thing b/a doesn’t understand lol) it’s not good for you...wheter the moment was good or awful..it’ gone, it’s almost stupid to continue in it.

The way I see it he made a funny comment about the sleeping thing related to Angel. And that shows he still is attached to the show, the show touched a part of his life. SMG acts like it never happenned. She preffers if people don’t bring the "Buffy thing" up .

So let’s make justice ok? DB rules.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Anonymous :

Would you people stop making things up. SMG will always talk about Buffy when asked. She will actuially go on and on. JOSS was leaving BTVS after season 7, so why couldnot she. They *could* have morphed the show it somethig esle without her but ME chose not to. As for conventions, I think if folks wanna pay for someones signature or to eat dinner with them fine. But dont confuse that with *caring* more about fans unless they do it for FREE. Conventions can pay actors into the thousands. Don’t be suckers.

Saturday 30 July 2005, by Illyria101 :

David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar are both fantastic actors and like all actors they want to show us what they can do with their acting capabillities such as SMG doing Scooby Doo and The Grudge both amazing movies and although I don’t think DB has done a Blockbuster Movie as of yet, he’s trying new things showing us that there is more to him then just the Character of Angel. It’s not like I hate DB infact it’s quite the opposite but in some ways it does feel as though he has abandoned his fans and yes as fans we should support what work DB, SMG or any other actor/actress from the shows does, at the end of the day they didn’t have to do the shows in the first place and SMG felt it her time to move on and do other projects, who knows what the future holds, there still might be more BTVS or Angel.

At the end of the day it’s their lives and their choices, just because we are their fans it doesn’t mean we control them, instead as fans we should be happy with their choices in life.

And to the comment made by someone about the conventions and how much the people get paid for doing them and just because they do them it doesn’t mean they care: Yeah your right they probably do get paid quite abit for doing them but that doesn’t mean that they don’t care, I’ve found that nothing in this world is free and that we should still feel priviledged to be given the oportunity to interact with them.

I hope Bones does well.

Sunday 31 July 2005, by Anonymous :

Maybe DB will return to angel someday, but trying to make smg a saint for doing Buffy is not gonna fly. SMG did not attend the wrap party for Buffy. THE WRAP PARTY. The final get together that was basically in her honor. Come on people please dont try to pull a fast one like she had other places to be etc. that’s just flimsy. There was so much bad blood between her and Joss in the final season of Buffy. There is even a revenge line from the last ep. of season 7. Caleb says to Buffy "are you ready to finish this Bitch?" in truth it’s what Joss desperatly felt like telling smg, but is too nice a guy, so he wrote it in the last ep. as dialouge. The sad truth.

Where does it say he’s through with angel?

Monday 1 August 2005, by Anonymous :

SMG is no saint, she is human and guess what JOSS IS NO GOD. Hes done some shady stuff himself in my opinion. To be fair SMG did have to be on the set of Scooby DOO (in Canada) and BTVS had run late so she was late. She signed a contract and needed to show up. Then again if Joss hated her SOOO much * according to rumors* then it’s good she did not showed up. I wouldnot if I was sooo HATED. I LOVED BTVS but it was just a job. No JOB is worth stressing too much over.

Monday 1 August 2005, by Anonymous :

About Sarah, that just isn’ true.

Tuesday 2 August 2005, by googly :

SMG did not attend the wrap party becuase she had to leave the country after her last shooting scene for Buffy becuase she was due on set for a movie. Kinda hard for her to get out of a commitment like that.

I can understand why David was upset with the executive producers. David was meeting with them for the first time to discuss his role in Bones, and was upset with the fact that they seemed more interested in a television character than in David, the actor. He may have been given the impression that the producers were interested in him, not because of his abilities as an actor, but because he was Angel. It’s unfair to say that David doesn’t care about the fans. He wasn’t the one that ended Angel. In fact, he has previously stated that he thought the show could have gone on for two more seasons. He is simply trying to move on with his life. To have a successful career, David needs people to be interested in the actor, not just in a character he portrayed.
