R.I.P. buddy.

Thank you so much for posting this article - What a sad life story, but I am very glad to learn just a little bit of his life. Loved him on Angel - if there is a better place upon our death here on earth, I sure hope he got there.

It’s so sad that he ended up like that - he was so talented. At least he was never forgotten in Angel and will never be forgotten by Angel fans.

Am I the only one that finds this in bad taste? Is it really necessary to air these kind of things and make things that are private and no doubt upsetting to those who loved and were closest to Glenn especially his family very public indeed. Glenn should be allowed to rest in peace - God bless you Glen x

He was not fired from Angel b/c of his drug problem. Even before Joss gave Glenn the job, he told him Doyle was going to die in the 9th episode. Joss has said that many times b/c of those rumors. Everybody loved Doyle!

I certainly did not find this in bad taste, at all. It kindly written, susscinct, but not overly simple.

I did know what happened. I heard an interview with David Boreanaz (& Jimmy M), where David had added "God rest his soul" after saying his name in response to some question.

I think spectulating on why he left Angel, would be in bad taste. (The Joss told him before started, after 9 eps...)

I could speculate, but instead I’ll say, AI was the beiest... The rats were low...It says rats...

(also, if Dave B had wanted "us" to know about any of this he would said by now, leave him people, eh?)

Opps, sorry wanted to echo, the way Doyle went out, the episode "Hero"; a tribute to the people who were trying to help him. In the name of self-sacrifice, helping family & helpless, plus getting the girl (while she still had the great hair)...

(any reason other than Joss’s love to kill ’em off)

First of all, one thing I have found about death is that it is the ultimate test of your faith. People with demons are often confused with people who like to have a good time. Help can generally be offered to someone that needs it, but, and I think Morpheus said it best, "I can only show you the door. Your the one who has to walk through it." In saying that Glenn, while your up there.... Fight the good fight, right! I don’t know a damn thing bout celebs that you can’t read on the internet, but he had to have been one helluva dude.. RIP my friend.

he didn’t lose his job on Angel because of it! how DARE they! He was originally going to be written out right from the beginning. I miss him so much. Everytime i watch ’Hero’ i cry even more because he died in real life. It just breaks my heart.

Tuesday 13 December 2005, by Anonymous :

okay, i am FUMING! how DARE THEY say that about or Glenn.

“That had to make Dwayne’s mum proud, offsetting the fact that a junkie overdosed on her son’s couch.”

no way! they wake glenn, such a talented, kind and funny actor seem like some bum from the street.

Cause of death, Morphine Intoxication. An overdose of heroin. Accidental. Just an FYI, heroin shows up as morphine in autopsies. He was only 32. Autopsy reports are revealing.

And the quote “Sad considering that Glenn probably made more in a year than most "average" people make in a decade, and he pissed it all away on drugs.”

well if i ever find the person that wrote this article, well someone else will be writing their obituary.

This is a mean and cruel article about his death. I find it to be very inappropriate. Please remove this and find one that is not written in this context. Somethings should be kept private! I hope none of his family ever read this.

TO THE "THING" THAT WROTE THIS ARTICLE THE GLENN QUINN FAMILY SHOULD NOT ONLY SUE/HAVE YOU FIRED BUT- YOU NEED TO APOLOGIZE AND NEVER BE ABLE TO WRITE ANOTHER STORY, IN YOUR "SORRY" DISGUSTING DEGRADING REPORTING LIFE EVER AGAIN. YOU ARE THE REASON YOU MAKE IT HARD FOR PEOPLE THESE DAYS TO UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WITH A SOUL, WOULD PUT A PERSON’S REP AND LIFE OUT THERE LIKE THAT. DEGRADING/AND TEARING SOMEONE APART WHOM HAS PASSED ON IS JUST SICK AND PATHETIC. YOUR BEHAVIOR IS UNBELIEVABLE I THINK YOU SHOULD BE FIRED FROM YOUR JOB! WHAT DO YOU THINK ANOTHER REPORTER IS GONNA WRITE ABOUT YOU WHEN IT’S YOUR OBITUARY READY TO BE PUBLISHED? IT’S GONNA SUCK 2 B U. REMEMBER " WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND" ANYWAYS- GLENN WE ALL MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU AND YOUR WORK IS SADLY MISSED I STILL LOVE WATCHING YOUR HANDSOME FACE ON THE ROSEANNE RE-RUNS.GOD BLESS THE GLENN QUINN FAMILY.YOU’LL ALWAYS BE IN OUR PRAYERS!

As a young woman of only 28 who has lost too many friends to overdoses people will never understand the force that addiction has over ones life. The never ending need to feel high is all consuming it isnt all about "demons" or failure or lonliness addiction itself takes over a gains control of ur life. Glenn was a wonderful actor but he was also a human and none of us will ever know what it was in him that made him crave this useless drug. We cannot begin to understand what it is in aperson that drives them to the race for a high but i do know as a junkie myself that we never intend to die we just want more. To all those angered by the rawness of an article like this u need to realize that although u may think ur child isn’t using or maybe u know he is but don’t think he will be that one to overdose truth is u don’t know until u walk through that door and find him laying on the couch. articles like this may open the eyes of the next user u never know. Glenn u were a great actor i am sorry that ur life ended in such a harsh reality hope u r as high as u wanna be on the wings of an angel!

Luv N Hugs, Same Boat Different Angel!

Absolutely disgusting article, despite being factual. To disparage a dead man who probably died in emotional agony is crass and tactless. Despite his issues in life, referring to the man as ’an all-round embarrassment’ is crossing the line. I sincerely hope that none of his friends or family saw this slanderous excuse for a news report.

And really, ending it with ’drugs are bad, mmkay?’ As immature as it gets.
