I can’t wait to see this movie. Any Whedon fans who have not seen the Firefly DVDs needs to watch them NOW. Truly, some of Joss’s very best.

They did it again! You know, there are actually two War of the Worlds movies coming out this year. Is anyone outside War of the Worlds fandom aware of this? This seems to be poised as a battle of David and Goliath - the big name director, his Hollywood star, backed by a major studio (who already made a loose adaptation in the 50’s) versus the small independent film made by a group of unknowns. The difference is that the Pendragon version looks kick arse, while Paramount’s new version, from what I’ve read, seems to be missing the point of Wells’ story. Here’s hoping that Pendragon are successful in cutting off the big beast’s head. If The War of the Worlds has taught me any lesson, it’s that the Goliath of any scenerio always get their comeuppance.
