This show is slowly but surely getting a lot more interesting, I find myself caring about certain characters but I must admit its taken a while. Being a Brit we are not as far ahead with the show as you guys, does it continue to improve? I don’t understand why Fox won’t give shows a chance, surely they must realise that it can take time for an audience to start to warm up a little? Maybe I just don’t understand how American tv works.

This is too sad. I’ve been watching since the beginning and the show has improved a lot. It’s a shame that the ratings are so low. Everybody knows the Nielsen ratings are a sham yet no one does anything to change things. Until then, we are stuck with crap like Everybody Loves Raymond and ER-which I guess will be on for all eternity.

This is a definite shame. The show did indeed start very slow and I know a lot of people were turned off by the very first episode but it has improved considerably from episode to episode IMO. It was very "soap-like" in the first episode or two but that seems to have dwindled off as the show got darker and the actors became more comfortable in the roles.

Honestly, the show wasn’t that good. I tried so hard to like it but I found myself turning the channel. Oh well, after BTVS and Angel everything else in the genre pales in comparison.

I hadn’t even seen the latest episode when I made my previous post but have now.. it was fantastic!

I understand where the people who couldn’t keep watching beyond the first few episodes as it did take a few eps to hit it’s stride but each episode since then has been as good if not better than all the shows before it.

I also think a lot of people were expecting to have a comedy element like Buffy and didn’t give it a chance - if they’d stuck with it to date I doubt any of them would be changing the channel now.

Hopefully once the show has finished the thirteen episodes it’ll be repeated at least once before a decision is made whether it’ll return. That way word of mouth might get more people watching it and the network can take the rating for the repeats into account.

I really looked forward to Point Pleasant every week. I can’t say that about many shows on the air. It would be a shame if the show didn’t get the opportunity to grow and evolve. I think it would really develop a fanbase.
