I think she was mad because he pretty much said she was nothing, and because of the Grudge, she has POTENTIAL to become a star. I would have been pissed also.

Thursday 17 March 2005, by 5x5 :

Well, I would guess it has something to do with her own agency calling her "nothing at all." Just a guess, though...

Thursday 17 March 2005, by Candy :

Whoa! "Nothing at all"!? Why do they think the movie grossed that much $$$? It was because of her, you doofus! And Sam Raimi as producer didn’t hurt either, but that’s beside the point.

It seems people just never learn there’s no such thing as ’off the record.’

Ouch.

—"and that takes our client Sarah Michelle Gellar, who now is nothing at all, and it makes her a star,

I don’t blame her for quitting. I would be mad too. Sarah might not be quite Julia Roberts famus, but the fact that there is so much internet traffic, posts, and websites about her just proves that the writer of the article is full of $h!!. Anyone who is on the cover of 7 DVD boxes that can be found at almost any DVD store in the United States is very far from nothing!

Maybe having the head of the agecy she just signed with describibg her as "nothing at all" gt her a bit pissed.

Thursday 17 March 2005, by Anonymous :

Probably the part that says- "...and that takes our client Sarah Michelle Gellar, who now is nothing at all, and it makes her a star, potentially."

Thursday 17 March 2005, by Anonymous :

You wonder what got her so mad? Did you even bother reading what’s written above? It said that the president of SMG’s talent agency said that Sarah was "nothing" until ’The Grudge.’ What a terrible thing to say about one of your own clients to the newspapers, especially since it discounts "Buffy" as nothing as well. If I were her, I’d be mad too, and get new representation also.

Thursday 17 March 2005, by Anonymous :

In the article he told of an encounter where he took Sarah A2M in order to secure a role. I’m assuming she didn’t like that info being leaked and switched companies. I can’t blame that hot girl.

Thursday 17 March 2005, by Stephen Pearce :

All i can say is well done to Sarah Michelle Gellar...what her agent said was spiteful and extremely offensive.

Friday 18 March 2005, by Anonymous :

Sarah Michelle Gellar will never be part of the hollywood elite. She is small snobby person who (even thought she has acheived some things in this business) is not fit to be in it Maybe the guy is right.

Friday 18 March 2005, by Anonymous :

At least he was kind enough not to point out what an awful actress she is in everything but Buffy.

Saturday 19 March 2005, by Anonymous :

What about Simply irresistable, and cruel intentions, not to mention all her bit parts, and she was in all my children, admittadly yes a tv gig again, but she won an emmy or oscar or somthing, so she isnt nothing, in t.v or movie business, id have left too, good on her, and it wouldnt have mattered even if she was the stinkiest actress this side of the hemisphere, your own representation has to have some respect for you at least, they were out of order to make those comments, thats the whole point of representation.

Monday 21 March 2005, by Anonymous :

the negative remarks posted here sound awfully lot like they’re from someone from that agency in question.

Thursday 24 March 2005, by Anonymous :

good on the agency they are only speaking the truth
