I disagree. Yes, the entire season wasn’t about Spike, but a great deal of the plot was. It was his journey from monster to man, coming full circle with a soul. That’s all I’m going to say about that because I want to move on.
So yeah, let’s focus on the bigger picture here - how crappy those manipulations are. First of all, it’s sad that they even *had* to create manipulations for a boxed set, and secondly - I’m a freshman in college, and I could do better than that.
