2007 Serenity Salute Convention : Schedule revealed

We’re very happy to announce this brand new convention saluting the amazing FIREFLY series. Concurrent to this event, Creation Entertainment has signed an agreement to produce official merchandise for SERENITY including T-shirts, fleece, hats, photos, jewelry, plates, stamps and coins. This collectible plate is just the first example of the new items!

9 AM to 10:30 AM: Sunday Morning Breakfast and Charity Silent Auction. Complimentary for Gold Weekend Patrons. Featuring appearances by SUMMER GLAU and SEAN MAHER
10:30 AM to 6 PM: Registration, Vendors Room and Main Theatre all open, featuring appearances on-stage by NATHAN FILLION, SUMMER GLAU and SEAN MAHER

    GEOFF MANDEL Since 1991 Geoffrey Mandel has designed, produced, or animated graphics for Serenity, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Space: Above & Beyond, JAG, Star Trek: Insurrection, The X-Files, X-Men, V.I.P., Star Trek: Voyager, Enterprise, Solaris, 24, Spider-Man 2, NCIS, , NUMB3RS, Las Vegas, Mission Impossible III, Blades of Glory, Lucky You and Dirt. He is the co-artist (with Tim Earls) of the Official Serenity Blueprints (www.quantummechanix.com), and the author and illustrator of Star Trek Star Charts, an Amazon.com top seller.

    JARROD DAVIS Jarrod started working at Radium on the Firefly pilot, following it over to Zoic, where he’s been working for the last 5 years. He was one of the crew of Firefly for the entire run. On Serenity, he was sequence supervisor for the opening sequence, and also worked on shots from the battle sequence and the shot of Serenity landing on Haven, as well as programming various Lightwave tools for the artists to use during production.

    MARK SHIMER Mark was hired at Zoic midway through the season to help out on Firefly. He worked on 5 to 6 episodes, including reworking some shots on the pilot episode. On Serenity Mark did previz for several live action sequences and worked on shots in the Reaver Space sequences.
