A Letter From Andy (05.18.04)
I appreciate the tremendous amount of support, dedication, and the astounding loyalty shown over and over by all the viewers. I never dreamt that people would follow the show so faithfully and voice their opinions loud and clear! It really turned into a great big family.
I’ll never forget the first appearance I made outside of the show, of course without make-up on. I was nervous as hell and kept telling my agent Pat that it was going to be a big embarrassing flop because no one would show up. I remember saying that I was going to feel like a vacuum cleaner salesman just sitting at a booth with people glancing at me thinking, “who the hell is this idiot?” (not that vacuum cleaner salesmen are idiots...but you know what I mean...)
Well, thanks to you guys I was wrong and there was an outpouring of support from so many people who just wanted to stop by and say “hi.” It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I’ll never forget it.
So thank you all for a truly amazing ride over the last four years and for all the wonderful compliments, letters, and gifts... especially the ones that people created themselves. I have quite a collection of “Lorne Art” at home in my office...it’s turned into a little gallery!
I want you all to know how much your good energy, inspirational notes, and positive thoughts guided me through it all. (Thank God I played a character that most of you liked...I’ve read lots of feedback about those you don’t care for too much! Holy $%#@! I’m glad I’m on your good side. HA! ) Just kidding.
But thanks again from every ounce of my soul, this would never have worked without you guys! I hope to see you soon, and I hope to be seen soon, just sans green! (No offense Dayne Johnson!!) Oh, and the big finale is quite a show...
...I know I was shocked to find out what happens with Lorne!
