Science fiction enthusiasts and fans of one of the most popular and celebrated shows from the last decade will soon have a new books to add to their collections. Five Seasons of Angel: Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors Discuss Their Favorite Vampire covers all five seasons of the beloved series, including the show finale and contains essays from some of the most popular science fiction and fantasy authors of today. Fun, irreverent and oftentimes surprising, the content ranges from character analysis to thematic criticism and includes behind the scenes exclusives.

In this incredibly insightful book, you’ll learn:
* How the concept of “family” doomed Angel for all eternity.
* The differences (and similarities) that exist between Angel and Spike.
* Whether Angel is the ultimate bully or the ultimate hero.
* How for 350 years, Angel has suffered from an Oedipus complex.
* Character analyses of Cordelia, Connor, Darla, Doyle and the rest of the cast.

And much, much more about this celebrated and deeply mourned series! Contributors include psychologist/sex expert Joy Davidson, romance novelist Jennifer Crusie, fantasy author Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, fantasy author Jacqueline Litchenberg and author Nancy Holder and Joss Whedon biographer Candace Havens.

Nancy Holder seems to ruin anything for the Spuffy fan so im not sure if i want to read anything "Angel and Buffy true love forever" in the book....

and they always seem to be biased for the Bangel side , i mean, check out all th Watcher’s guide... theyre all "Buffy and Angel! WHOOT!"

Actually, technically he is as he spent 100 years of his life in a hell dimension.

Well, in a sense he is. Take into account the 100 years or so he spent in Hell after Buffy ran him through wiht the sword at the end Buffy season 2...

Sounds interesting, i’m going to have to pick up a copy. Angel is 350 if you count the 100 years he spent in hell.

He has an Oedipus complex cos he killed his father, as his first act of becoming a vampire, and then slept with his mother, or the nearest thing, as Darla was his sire. Julie Benz even said in an interview that she tries to play both his Mother and his Lover.
