JUSTICE LEAGUE’S "DOUBLE DATE"

"Double Date," one of the most-anticipated episodes of Justice League Unlimited, makes its debut on Cartoon Network on Saturday at 9 p.m.

The episode — which received a spotlight in TV Guide — focuses on four Justice Leaguers: The Huntress, The Question, Green Arrow and Black Canary. It deals with the origin of The Huntress and how far she will go for revenge.

"Double Date" was written by Gail Simone — writer of the comics version of Birds of Prey — and she said enjoyed it so much that she would write another episode if asked.

"It was different from writing comics in that more people have input," Simone told The Continuum. "It was fun and a really great experience. If I was asked, I would certainly do it again."

The episode features the voices of Amy Acker as The Hunter, Kin Shriner as Green Arrow, Jeffrey Combs as The Queston and Morena Baccarin as Black Canary.

Baccarin, who is starring in the upcoming Serenity movie, voiced Canary for the second time. "It was a blast," she told The Continuum. "I’d love to do her voice again."

Glenn Shadix performs the voice of Mondragora, a crime lord and the episode’s bad guy. Also look for Steve Schirippa from The Sopranos and Joe Nipote early in the episode as mobsters. "It’s a funny bit," said voice director Andrea Romano.
