Andy Hallett Will Not Attend Vulkon Convention, Oakland

Saturday 17 July 2004, by Webmaster

Because the ANGEL star is too weak to travel, he will be unable to attend the Oakland event. Nick Brendon has been announced as his replacement.

Hello everyone, well there is nothing that churns out info faster than the rumor mill, so let me address this issue.

For those of you who do not know, Andy Hallett has been very ill. He is currently back home recuperating, but as of today his doctor said he was still too weak to travel and has him on oxygen to speed up the healing process.

Now that of course means he will not be able to make the Oakland event, as he cannot travel.

We ask that you all please include Andy in your prayers tonight and wish him a speedy recovery!

Now how will this affect Oakland? Well as of this moment I have invited two guests to take Andy’s spot at Oakland, and am awaiting replies. I should have someone confirmed within 3-4 days. At which time, I will announce the replacement both here on the forum and via newsletter.

You will then (if you have ordered a photo opp with Andy) need to decide if you want a refund of that photo opp, or if you would like to switch that ticket to another guest.

Also, in other news while I have your attention: All of James Marsters photo opps have sold out for both Saturday & Sunday. James has agreed to add a 3rd photo session on Friday afternoon at about 4 PM or so. So for those of you who missed out on ordering a photo session with James, this will be your last chance to order one! Tickets will go on sale sometime tonight.

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding in regards to all these guest and band changes. We are doing the best we can to find suitable replacements whenever a change occurs and to keep you informed. But that is the way things are in the entertainment business, and we have learned to accept that change is inevitable. So again we thank you for bearing with us, and ask for your patience when we need to adjust your tickets as these changes affect a lot of patrons.

Thank you, Fernando & Joe / Vulkon
