Fred Comes Out of Her Shell

The WB has released one image from "Shells," the March 3rd episode of ANGEL:

THE END OF FRED

Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) return from England defeated, knowing that the ancient demon Illyria has completely taken over Fred’s (Amy Acker) body and soul. Upon learning that Knox (guest star Jonathan Woodward) and Gunn (J. August Richards) have each contributed to her demise, Wesley (Alexis Denisof) is bent on revenge and Angel tries everything to restore Fred, including calling on an old friend from Sunnydale. Meanwhile, Illyria tries to locate an ancient temple where she believes she will find an army ready to help her destroy mankind.

YES! YES! YES! Angel is good, but when it comes to revenge Wesley does the job better than anyone - like at the beginning of season 4 - just like Willow did in the end of season 6. And like Anya said: "it’s always the quiet ones" =)

The only ones form sunnydale I can think Of is either willow or buffy(b/c she mit make a guest appaence)or faith b/c she can help kick @$$. Well Fred really lookes great. I was wondering do you think the wb is femamines b/c first cordy now fred. I don’t think this is fair, It should of been Wesley b/c he was the next to join angel. Fred should have been lasted. B/c it was first doyle then cordy. What do you all think of this ?

I guess it’s just me, but dang man- that looks like a low budget suit to me. I think it could have been made way better. It doesn’t look very good but the blue eyes are cool.

Yes, that is Amy, and the friend from Sunnydale Angel tries to find is Willow. Looks like Illyria is the new Big Bad, for this (the last) season. I expect we won’t see Fred restored, or at least Illyria gone, until the very end. Torturing, isn’t it? But 5x15 A Hole In The World was a heart-wrenching episode. Joss Whedon is brilliant... I just don’t understand why they’re letting him go.

Yes, of course this has to do with that thing Gunn helped the weird doctor get through customs. That issue was addressed in 5x15. I’m sure this next episode will include quite a bit about that too.

Wow, um, just to first off answer the whole "feminist wb" statement, its Joss’s storyline, not the WB’s. Also, the character going to Angel will hopefully be Willow, cuz obviously shes the one with the magic who can do something bout it.

umm Fred is so very dead. Its onluy illyria now.. in her body... the character Fred is dead. Joss loves doing that too... a really ahppy ending the episode before and then bang the next one someone ends up dead.
