In the episode "Anne", Ken tells Buffy that time in his hell dimension passes more quickly, that one day on Earth is the same as 100 years in his dimension.

This means time goes roughly 36,000 times quicker. When Lily falls into the portal, it’s at least 10 seconds until Buffy jumps in after her, but Lily is still just sitting there looking stunned.

If times moves that much faster, 10 seconds would become over 4 days.

Would Lily still have been just sitting there?

    Thats not actually how it works, 10 seconds in the hell dimension would be a fraction of a second on earth, so they have the proportions wrong. It wouldnt be four days, it would be 10/36,000th of a second or 1/3600th of a second. In that sense, if she WASNT sitting there, it would have been a mistake.

    ^ No I think you are wrong - although like you said 10 seconds in the hell dimension would equal a fraction of a second on earth, I think the original post is saying Buffy waits 10 earth seconds before jumping in - in which case more time would have passed in the hell dimension because time moves faster there.
