Same deal. Buffy is a SLAYER, the most powerfull girl in ALL THE WORLD, i mean Max is a Mutant. In the buffy language that means ’Demon’ And buffy’s power is created to hunt and kill Demons. Buffy is soooo much better.

My mom is a huge fan of THE MATRIX and she watches BUFFY with me sometimes.We were watching the matrix one day and I said "BUFFY could kick NEO’S ass!!!!!" and she laughed and said that "Knowing BUFFY,she would probably fall in love with him." that just cracked me up.lol.It ’slayed’ me,if you will.lol.
Anyone who actually would answer Sydney being the winner is stupid. Buffy has superpowers, Sydney doesn’t. She gets her butt kicked all the time on that show.
As for Max, while she is also strong (she could kick Sydney’s ass) Buffy would still take her. Max is fast, and has very strong senses, but Buffy would still be stronger.

Illyria against Glory, I couldn’t guess but because of Illyrias original time stopping powers i’d say she’d win but then Glory is super strong.
Max would kick Buffys ass, think about it, Buffy only stayed alive because of her little scooby gang, true that Max also used her friends in her show, but if it were one on one Max would come out on top.....Buffy was trained to fight by a librarian, come on guys think about it.....also to that other post, Buffy never ever beat Angel, she beat Angelus only cos she got help...again (Spike).
Buffy is the Slayer, she is preternaturally gifted in the arts of combat, much like vampires are.

And please recall, Buffy can lift a six hundred pound piece of grid iron (a girder), Catch and deflect ’dangerous pointy objects’ (tm), is skilled with numerous weapons, and has enhanced Slayer speed and strength...
For crying out loud, Buffy took down an entire squad of HIGHLY TRAINED AND CHEMICALLY ENHANCED soldiers, on fighting skill alone, and in a halter!

buffy did beat glory, hell god with a whole lot more strength than buffy! i liked glory she was like cordielia with super powers....kinda. So anyway sydney could hav a chance...with the right tools...
Sydney vs buffy umm let me think .. Buffy, she’s the slayer with all the super strenght and fast healing and speed and all, I mean one of her shagging sessions with Spike would’ve done more damage than Sidney, come on I like Sydney but remember the finale in S2? Francine’ne double might have gotten killed but she gave her one hell of an ass kickage So of course Buffy’d win.
Now Max vs. Buffy. that’s a thougher one, i don’t have an answer to that yet, not even sure which of them I’d root for.
Ok lets review this. Sydney bristow would be no match. She could barely defeat that girl who killed Will. Max couldn’t either. She’s not that much stronger than a normal human, she’s kinda like Cat woman in a way (her having been altered with Cat genes to give her, her powers.)
Buffy not only has formal martial arts training and has developed her own street fighting style, but The slayer powers package goes far beyond just strength speed and agility. As we have been shown over the seven seasons, her powers also gift her with an uncanny wit, so that she can think quick on her feet. Super aim and heightened senses.
Sydney Bristow would kick Buffy’s ass. Buffy obviously has strength advantage but Syd is quicker, more resourceful and miles more intelligent. She’s more capable with weapons and is simply a tougher chick. Buffy would go down, especially if they were armed. Seriously Buffy is capable with a stake but Syd has an awesome aim - Buffy would have a bullet between her eyes in no time.
