The usually reliable British newspaper, the Sunday Times, mentions the following: " Angel and Buffy’s creator, Joss Whedon, is pondering a big-screen Buffy that may include key British scenes".

    The Sunday Times is often unreliable. It is more likely that they have received news of Serenity and have assumed it’s a Buffy movie because of who’s in charge.
