Couple accused of selling library’s DVDs (buffy mention)

OGDEN, N.Y. Check out, cash in.

Police are accusing a Rochester-area couple of borrowing hundreds of D-V-Ds from local libraries and selling some of them for cash.

Twenty-eight Jennifer Exley and 28-year-old Alan Rohr of Ogden have been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police say the couple allegedly checked out more than 200 D-V-Ds over a few days earlier this month from nine local library systems.

The Ogden library director said the manager of a local secondhand store tipped her off, and she called police.

Patty Uttaro said her library lost just under 500 dollars in materials but said police recovered many of the items. She said everything from Disney films to Buffy the Vampire Slayer had been taken.

Ogden is ten miles west of Rochester.
