David Boreanaz

David Boreanaz has a new friend - Ryan O’Neal. They’ve just finished shooting a forthcoming episode of Boreanaz’s hit Fox series "Bones," directed by David Duchovny, in which the past and present TV heartthrobs play father and son. "It was a great experience to work with somebody who has had such a great course in his career. It was wonderful to be around that energy, and a lot of the stuff he says I resonate with powerfully," declares Boreanaz.

O’Neal shared stories, Boreanaz says, "about when they were doing ’Peyton Place’ with him and Mia Farrow and shot everything on the Fox lot. Back then, people didn’t want to put energy into TV, but he said, ’I was just happy to be working.’ "

Boreanaz, who rose to fame on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and his own "Angel" spin-off, adds that he and "Bones" leading lady Emily Deschanel are finding that their Wednesday night series "is really finding its rhythm this season. She’s getting into dangerous situations. In one episode, she’s captured and buried alive." And yes, Deschanel’s character and his are getting "closer and closer to each other."
