Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Entertainment Weekly gives Buffy a #1 spot in Best Movie-to-TV Adaptations

Thursday 13 July 2006, by Webmaster

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)

You know the story - a talented pup named Joss Whedon writes a screenplay about a hot vamp killer, it gets made into a lousy 1992 movie, and so Whedon, still gnawing on this bone, turns it into...One of the Greatest Shows in Television History. Buffy had everything: great action, great jokes, great romance, great villains, great acting (you know Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, and Anthony Stewart Head deserved Emmys), and above all, great writing - the kind of writing around which worthy cults are formed.
