Clearly you can see a Windows application (or driver) installation screen and it looks like the Next button is highlighted. It’s plausible since Kaylee altered the board that Jayne’s re-installing. Behind it it looks like the My Computer window. There’s the taskbar at the bottom and the icons in the back. From the blue on the top and the darker colour at the bottom, I’d guess that it’s the Bliss or the Stonehenge desktop wallpaper if the wallpaper was one that came with Windows.

I wonder what the chinese symbols on the left translate to.

Tommorrow’s trash disintegrators powered by today’s ubiquitous operating system.

  My XP has a silver taskbar - it’s all in what theme you have, I got bored with the default one.

  They have XP in the future, which might be a scary thing.

  I remember thinking that it looked like windows when I saw the episode. But I think that in the show, the image is bigger and that this is magnified, that’s why it’s easier to tell. The person who posted before me is right though, it’s not xp.

  It’s windows 2000/xp, because you can change the colors of the start menu to be gray. The open window is an installation window from 2000/XP.
