Inkworks Named Non-Sports

Card Manufacturer of the Year

Wins Diamond Gem Award for Ninth Straight Year

Serenity Named Non-Sports Card Product of the Year

For the ninth consecutive year, Inkworks has been named the Non-Sports Card Manufacturer of the Year in the 16th annual Diamond Gem Awards from Diamond Comic Distributors. Inkworks has won the award more times than all other non-sport trading card manufacturers combined. Additionally, Inkworks won the award for Non-Sports Card Product of the Year for their Serenity Trading Cards.

"While all of Diamond’s suppliers and their products are important facets of the overall comics specialty market," explained Diamond President & CEO Steve Geppi, "the Gems offer our customers the chance to honor those that have been especially beneficial in helping their businesses prosper during the past year. They are the crème de le crème of what our industry has to offer."

Gem Award nominees were selected by a panel of Diamond product specialists on the basis of their overall impact on the industry including their quality, creativity, and sales performance in 2005. Retailers were able to cast their votes using ballots contained with their February Previews Order Forms, Previews on Disk, Previews on Windows, and Previews Fax Order Forms, as well as via Diamond Online’s Retailer Services Area.

“We are honored to be named Manufacturer of the Year by Diamond retailers for the ninth straight time and to have Serenity named Product of the Year,” said Allan Caplan, President of Inkworks. “We are excited about non-sport trading cards and proud to partner with all of the great retailers out there. We work hard to bring collectors the best licenses, the best products and the highest level of customer service in the business.”
