Fain, Craft Talk Dollhouse

DollhouseTV.net was fortunate enough to attend a Q&A session with Sarah Fain and Elizabeth Craft last night in their hometown of Kansas City. Most of the discussion centered around their work on Angel, The Shield, Women’s Murder Club, and their young adult books - Bass Akwards & Belly Up, and the forthcoming sequel, Footfree & Fancyloose. However, we did get a chance to ask them a couple of questions about Dollhouse as well.

When asked about being there at the beginning of a show, helping to launch rather than coming after the series was well on its way (they joined Angel and The Shield during each show’s fourth season), they expressed excitement about being involved in everything from casting to gathering the production crew to envisioning the sets.

“Joss [Whedon] has an amazing vision for the sets in The Dollhouse,” said Fain.

We also learned that production on the pilot episode begins April 23 in Los Angeles, and that the recent script pages released for casting earlier this week were written solely by Joss. Fain and Craft will return to work on the show Monday.
