Michael Muhney - "Dollhouse" Tv Series - He wants to be the next Doll

Things happen for a reason...

…unfortunately my day today included a phone call from the creator of “Family Practice” letting me know that our show was not being picked up. I could speculate as to why based on what I’ve heard, but none of that matters now. What matters is that the pilot looked fantastic, and working in Chicago again was a tremendous joy. To work with the actors playing my family (Beau Bridges, Ann Archer, Cheyenne Jackson, Karin Anglin, and Joey Honsa) was a fantastic experience and one I will be able to revisit when I watch the pilot in the future. The director, Bart Freundlich, was wonderful, and Jeffrey Lieber is off the charts as a writer and show runner. I will miss this group of folks, along with crew members who I have known since the days of “Turks” ten years ago.

I wanted to keep my word and let you all know as soon as I found out, and so I have.

On the bright side, I don’t have to leave my newborn baby for Chicago and fly home every other weekend. And one other little tidbit…there’s this writer/director/show runner that I have wished for years to work with, and now I’m available and he’s got a new show to put together. Believe me, if there is a chance in Hell, I’ll be the first one hunting around Hell for that chance. Working with Joss Whedon would be making a very sugary, spiked lemonade out of lemons. Best.Idea.Ever.
