Buffy coming to a close As has been announced, Sarah Michelle Gellar (who portrays Buffy, of course) intends to move on after the seventh season ends. In Nicholas’s first statement regarding the end, he told NickBrendon.com:

"I’m sad that the show’s ending, ’cause it’s been a huge part of my life, but I’m also excited for a new beginning and all the fun stuff in my future." NickBrendon.com previously reported that Nicholas hasn’t been approached about moving to the WB’s Angel. As far as we know, this is still the case.

We’ve also been asked about gestures to show Nicholas how much his fans have appreciated his work as Xander Harris during the past seven seasons. To that end, we have decided to turn our annual birthday fundraising drive to benefit the Stuttering Foundation of America into a "Thank You" project.
