Once Bitten : An Unofficial Guide To The World Of Angel

He was turned into a vampire in 1753, became known as the most vicious of his kind for 150-years, and was re-ensouled by a gypsy looking for revenge. With his conscience back, he had to relive the guilt and horror of what he’d done and decide to atone for his sins by helping the very people who were once his victims. Welcome to the world of Angel!

Nikki Stafford has become known in sci-fi/fantasy circles as an author who delivers excellent, insightful episode guides that analyze the episodes while giving interesting background facts about each one (both behind-the-scenes and explanations of the magic and history mentioned in them). Her best-known book, Bite Me! An Unofficial Guide to the World of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is widely considered to be the best companion book to the show. Now, her new Angel book hits stores on Wednesday November 17th, 2004 and is packed with everything an Angel fan would want with over 400-pages of information.

Including:
* All five seasons of Angel and the final season of Buffy
* A history of Angel and how it changed
* Summary of the 2003 Posting Board Party attended by the Angel cast
* Profile on CityofAngel.com
* Buffy and Angel in the academic circles

  • I love Spike but I wouldnt have put him on the cover of this book. He only had 1 season (plus 1 episode as a guest star in season 1) on Angel. Shoulda been Wesley or Cordy.

Big shock here. The book about Angel series with SPIKE on the cover. Why is he on the cover while the few cast members who had been on the show since season one like Charisma Carpenter are not?

Spike was in one season and two episodes.

Am I the only one upset that he seems to be the face of Buffy/Angel these days?

Just a note to the guys who make these books. If I see Spike on the cover of a Buffy/Angel book. I will not buy it. And I am not alone in that.

Bashers GET A LIFE! You people get angry and huff and puff when Spike gets voted again and again as one of the most popular characters. a lot of people like him, just coz you don’t doesn’t mean everyone has to to! I don’t two char, hate them very much, but I’m not complaining and whining .
  • C’mon ppl!!!! Did you see that book with Angel and Lorne in the cover? I didn’t see anyone complaining about that! And the one who said he/she won’t buy a book with Spike on its cover, don’t, so there’ll be enough for all of us who love Spike.

It would have been interesting to read about Giles’ past. How cute it would be to have a book about Xander, Willow and Jesse pre-Buffy. We would finally learn about Xander and Willow’s parents. I’ve read a lot of fictions about Xander’s and I really don’t know which one to believe.

I just want to know why Spike looks like a floating head, when we all know Angel is, ’Captain Forehead’?

Eh’, either way, stop the bashing, you mindless imbeciles. It’s old and it needs to be over with. Spike is on the cover. Spike was on the show. Deal with it. At least James is a better actor than David. Though, I love them both.

The only way we knew the difference between roles David switched, was by more leather and worse of an acting performance. Heh.

Now watch me get called an Angel basher. Damn me to the depths of the Hellmouth!
