Sarah Thompson grabs lead role
Armada Pictures announced that Armada has agreed to finance and co-produce "TAMARA" with City Lights Pictures and that up-and-comer Sarah Thompson will play the lead.
The sexy supernatural thriller, written by Jeffrey Reddick, creator of New Line’s FINAL DESTINATION franchise, will be directed by David Sporn.
Sarah Thompson (Malibu’s Most Wanted, Cruel Intentions 2) hot off her latest turn as “Eve” in the WB television series Angel, will star as the title character in the picture, which is being produced by Armada’s Chris Sievernich and City Lights Pictures’ CEO Danny Fisher. Matt Milich, Michael Almog, and Jack & Joe Fisher will executive produce, with Andrew Trapani and Steve Whitney of Integrated Films & Management serving as co-executive producers. The picture is being produced in association with Reddick and Sporn’s banner Short End Productions. Tamara is expected to begin principal photography in May.
The film centers on title character Tamara. After a vicious prank results in the tragic death of the awkward, unpopular high school girl, she is reborn as a seductive, mind-controlling teen vixen hell-bent on revenge.
