Spike and Darla Figures Hit Retailers This Month

Sunday 13 February 2005, by Webmaster

The Spike and Darla Angel action figures are due to be available in stores as well as at selected online retailers on or around February 2nd. This wave of figures is the first in the line to feature characters from Angel as well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and will feature both new Angel packaging and our classic Buffy packaging. The new core figures, Season 5 Spike, Season 2 Darla and "Reunion" Darla depict those characters from Angel episodes while some of the variants are taken from Buffy episodes.

Variants will also be available along side the core figures at select partners on or around February 2nd. These include "Welcome to the Hellmouth" Darla available through Previews; "Fool for Love" Spike through ToyFare; "Just Rewards" Spike through Action Figure Express; "Grave" Spike through Cinequest.com; "Beneath You" Spike through Time and Space Toys.

The Spike and Darla figures are made in scale with the entire Buffy the Vampire Slayer line, and each comes with a base and episode specific accessories. The Spike figures feature 16 points of articulation; the Darla figures feature either 10 or 12 depending on the variant.

All the core and exclusive figures will be on sale at the Diamond Select web site on or around February 16th.

i saw these in Forbidden Planet and i have got to say that i am appalled. they are absolute crap! they should have just rused the spike head from series three buffy figure line, and darla - complete and utter shit! the schoolgirl Darla’s boobs are wonley and uneven. they need to stop making really bad figures, in my opinion the best Buffy/Angel figures were the series one hand carved buffy figures, they actually looked like who they were supposed to look like. and another thing about the spikes - the hair colouring on all except one of them is the wrong colour; too yellow.

ps. the coloring of spikes hair in these pictures is not the color of the hair on the figures.
