Janollari said "the door is open" to do a spin-off TV movie starring James Marsters’ Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." But he admitted the prospect was less likely now that creator Joss Whedon has established himself as a credible big-budget fantasy filmmaker ("Serenity," the forthcoming "Wonder Woman").

I’ll bet, now that The WB is at amazing LOWS this season. Their average in total viewers is less than UPN at this point, just over 3 million.

Guarantee any kind of Buffy movie would score them at least 5 million.

Sorry, still a little angry at the cancellation of ANGEL so room could be made for THE MOUNTAIN...

You should be angry. I think we all are, those who haven’t completely moved on anyway. That was part of what gave the angel finale its punch. I do of course hope this is true, and I’d even be slightly more optimistic than the Janollari’s quote indicates he is since the film is supposed to be a Tim Minear project anyway. James has said he’d be on board, if they can work out the timing and do it in the next couple years. Now what about amy, ally and (ideally) eliza? Juliet Landau really should be in it too.

Lets face it the WB would only mess it up! Then it would be shown in bits on and off over many months and at obscure times and different days until it would be delclared ’not enough ratings must be replaced with reality tv!’
