GO DEEPER INTO "THE INSIDE" WITH BACK-TO-BACK ORIGINAL EPISODES WEDNESDAY, JULY 6, ON FOX

Back-to-back original episodes of the new crime drama THE INSIDE will air Wednesday, July 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

THE INSIDE follows the FBI’s Los Angeles-based Violent Crimes Unit (VCU), a rogue division led by the enigmatic Virgil "Web" Webster" (Peter Coyote), a man not above placing his agents’ lives at risk to solve the city’s most physically threatening and psychologically damaging serial crimes. After the death of one of the team’s profilers, Webster recruited the young and inexperienced Rebecca Locke (Rachel Nichols) to join the squad. Unbeknownst to Locke, Web hired her because he knows the secret she carries - as a child, Locke was abducted and held for 18 months before she escaped her kidnapper. Web feels that Rebecca’s traumatic past allows her particular insight into the mindsets of villain and victim alike.

In "The Loneliest Number" episode (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), when the VCU team investigates a series of suicides, they discover them to be murders linked to a suicide hotline. Meanwhile, Paul (Jay Harrington) suspects that Web’s influence over Rebecca is growing stronger and may lead to fatal consequences.

In the "Thief of Hearts" episode airing in THE INSIDE’s regular time period (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), Paul re-lives his first case under Web when a serial killer imprisoned for removing the hearts of his female victims is released because additional victims turn up bearing his killing signature while he is behind bars.

THE INSIDE is a 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television production created by Tim Minear and Howard Gordon. Minear, Brian Grazer and David Nevins serve as executive producers. Craig Silverstein and Jane Espenson are co-executive producers.
