What to Watch Wednesday

Juliet Landau returns to the Buffy universe on Angel (WB, 9 p.m. ET/PT). This season’s best episode explores the century’s long conflict between Angel and Spike and then sets the story spinning in a new direc-tion. There’s action, adventure and surprise to spare - along with the kind of rumi-nation on the meaning of destiny and heroism that Buffy fans have come to expect from creator Joss Whedon.
