Wow. I mean, everyone knows Smallville has a huge Buffy influence and I always find pathetic when some show’s creator doesn’t admit it’s influences. They never, ever talked about something like "yeah, Buffy’s set the teen-hero-metaphor on TV, so we really owe some to it". We can see Buffy’s legacy everywhere in the show, especially in the monster-metaphor-of-the-week Buffy created and Smallville copied (a bad adaptation that doesn’t sound fresh at all. but that’s not the point). Smallville is a very flawed show, but has some great highs, so I’m a fan, and I’m very happy they finally made (...)
