there is definitely much to be desired in this new spike set. there are so many episodes that are crucial to the character’s evolution, such as: "Crush", when Spike tells Buffy he’s in love with her,and "Beneath You", when Spike explains to Buffy that his love for her drove him to fight for his soul. The scene in the church has to be one of the most emotional, revealing, and raw performances of the series, not to mention the first time we see that Buffy could indeed reciprocate Spike’s love.
