If you didn’t watch S5 because you don’t understand that Spike was redeemed through his soul just like Angel was at the end of Buffy S2 and this creates perfect parallels between the two chararcters then I pity you. On the other hand at least you’re making a decision based on something relevant to the show rather than a marketing ploy.
