Fred dies? She better be brought back to life.

Monday 2 February 2004, by Anonymous :

Nooooooo!! Poor fred, i’m gonna kill Knox myself, that evil guy :’(

Monday 2 February 2004, by Liz :

They’re always killing the cool people...

Monday 2 February 2004, by Anonymous :

i’m so confused this spoiler, and the spoiler posted earlier have nothing to do with eachother! In the other one there is a talking hamburger, and talk about lorne dying? Don’t kill Fred right after Cordy (supposeddly) dies! :( they are getting rid of all the female characters! Watch out Harmony!

Monday 2 February 2004, by Teresa :

OMG OMG OMG!!!! It sounds sooo cool! And Fred dies- NOOOOO!

But I think the whole ’Fred now being evil thing’ is a bit too close to the ’evil cordy’ thing for my liking.

So confused right now, how does Fred die at the end of this episode but then in the spoilers for 5x16 she’s supposedly in that episode. . .

to steal a quote from buffy- if Fred dies - im done - i quit

Wednesday 4 February 2004, by Anonymous :

Fred dies? Good. That’s what this show needs, more dramatic death. (Not that we don’t love ya, Amy Acker!). Besides, there was never enough to Fred to deserve recurring status, but there is enough to provide a satisfying and long overdue death scene. And I think Gunn’s in more danger than Harmony is....

Given the Buffyverse history with this kind of thing, here’s betting that they do the Illyria for a few episodes (until the season finale?) and then find that Fred’s consciousness is just ’submerged’ and they get her back. Either that or there’s some kind of sacrifice/ritual to get her back later. I severely doubt this is permanent.

Got to say, if Fred dies, I’m out too.

Saturday 7 February 2004, by Aurelius :

Look. This implies that Amy Acker’s still around (it’s Fred’s body that just goes blue etc) and I doubt they’d want to keep her in makeup for the rest of the show, however long they have. In other words, they’re doing a Spike. Instead of being a ghost, Fred’s body walks around blue with another consciousness. Who wants to bet how long that’ll be for?

This show is just starting to copy itself. I mean is everyone just going to decide to go evil at one point or another this is stupid If Joss keeps killing off all of his charaters he won’t have much of a show anymore. I think he is copying the Cordy story line too close. If he is doing this to Fred he might as well put her in a coma to. I’m not really that big of a fan on Fred’s, I mean I would have rather had her died instead of Cordy, but this is stupid. I think Joss needs to get more ideas.

Wednesday 11 February 2004, by Inca :

She so is going to be brought back, well if she doesnt a big ol whatever to whedon. no, i have faith we’ll be seeing her back as fred, probably in the season finale or close to

Sunday 22 February 2004, by Anonymous :

Joss is a god, whatever happens it’ll be good. To bad the show is ending, makes me want to cry.

Sunday 22 February 2004, by Jax :

Grr Joss is just going to kill everyone off because the show is ending, so I doubt Fred’s going to be brought back

Tuesday 24 February 2004, by Winston :

Aurelius, you’re mistaken. If you read closely, it states that only her eyeslids are covered in a blue frost, not her entire body [like Mystique from X-men.] Amy will still play Fred, but now Fred is Illiria.

I’ve also noticed that there are 2 names for 5X15? ’A hole in the world’ and ’Another day in L.A.’ What’s up with that?

Sunday 29 February 2004, by Krich :

Why every person that Wes love have to die. Cordy, Lilah and now Fred. Oh and why Joss have to kill every lovely female character (Tara, Cordy, Lilah and Fred). So sad

I thought the Old Ones were supposed to be trapped beneath the Hellmouth. Remember that the Master wanted to open the Hellmouth to release the Old Ones once again.

Then again, the Deeper Well might be another entrance to the Old Ones’ prison
