Angel 5x22 Not Fade Away - Ratings

The hour-long finale of "That ’70s Show" and the penultimate Wednesday episode of "American Idol" pushed FOX to an easy ratings win.

For the night, FOX averaged a 10.1 rating/16 share, for a comfortable victory over NBC, which had an 8.0/13. ABC used the finale of "The Bachelor" to rise to a 7.5/12 on the night, beating CBS’ 6.1/10. The WB had a strong 3.5/6 to top UPN’s 1.8/3.

Among adults 18-49, FOX stayed in first with a 7.6 rating. ABC was second in the key demographic with a 4.9 rating, better than NBC’s 4.0 rating or the 2.7 rating for The WB. CBS was in fifth with a 2.3 rating, while UPN tailed with a 1.1.

FOX started the night in the lead as the season’s finale two episodes of "That ’70s Show" did a 7.0/12. CBS was a close second with the 6.7/11 for "60 Minutes." ABC’s two episodes of "My Wife & Kids" averaged a 5.3/9 and beat NBC’s reairing of a "Friends" retrospective. On The WB, "Smallville" had a 3.6/6 to solidly thump UPN’s "Star Trek: Enterprise."

The "American Idol" results show gave FOX a 13.1/20 at 9 p.m. to beat the 7.5/12 for the first hour of ABC’s "Bachelor" finale. NBC got a 7.2/11 out of "The West Wing," dropping CBS to fourth with "The King of Queens" and "Everybody Loves Raymond." The series finale of "Angel" gave The WB a 3.3/5, better than "I’m Still Alive" on UPN.

NBC closed the night in first thanks to the 12.6/21 for "Law & Order." The last hour of "The Bachelor" had a 9.8/16 on ABC. CBS was a distant third with "48 Hours."
