Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Buffy wins a Hugo Award

Thursday 11 September 2003, by Webmaster

Buffy: The Vampire Slayer has been honoured with a Hugo award by The World Science Fiction Society.

The series was honoured in the Dramatic Short category for the episode Conversations with Dead People.

The Hugos are handed out by The World Science Fiction Society for achievements in science fiction. This year’s ceremony was held at the Torcon 3 convention held recently in Toronto, Canada.

In Conversations with Dead People, by Jane Espenson and Drew Goddard, Buffy’s latest nemesis uses lies from beyond the grave to threaten her.

The episode beat the Angel episode Waiting in the Wings, the Firefly episode Serenity and a couple of episodes of Enterprise that nobody cares about.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers won the Dramatic Long award.
