Elizabeth Anne Allen - "Buffy" Tv Series - Slayalive.com Interview

Monday 21 January 2008, by Webmaster

This interview was done in mid-July of this year. EAA was interviewed for a failed Buffy/Angel Fan Project that included some SlayAlive members. Questions in the interview are from the minds of multiple fans. Credit for the interview goes to our member Hitnrun017, and I thank him for allowing me to hand the interview over to the forum. Enjoy. -Buffysmglover

ORIGINALLY POSTED AT A PRIVATE FORUM ON JULY 14, 2007

You recently did an episode of Close to Home, how was that?

Intense... it was loosely based on a real story so I felt pressured to be emotionally accurate.

What did you enjoy most about playing Amy?

Seeing everybody each year. They were always so amazing to me.

Can you relate to Amy?

In many ways. Though I would have made different choices. She was very self sabotaging.

You once said in an interview that you hadn’t watched the final episode of Buffy because you didn’t want the characters to end. Have you watched since?

NO!

Have you been reading Season Eight? If so, what do you think about how certain characters are involved in it?

I was recently shown one of the copies. I think it’s awesome. I wish I got to perform that role on the tv show. That would have been a blast.

What attracted you to supporting charities?

I like knowing I could have changed someone’s life for the better. It’s probably very selfishly motivated.... it makes me feel good.

If Joss began writing a Buffy or Angel movie and he said, "Well, we need Amy in here somewhere," would you play Amy again?

If he asked me... of course. Joss gave me my career.

For Witch, you trained with the Laker Girls. Did you ever think about throwing away acting and becoming a hard-core cheerleader?

Did you see how bad I was? That was not acting.
