  • At the risk of a bunch of people groaning who know better than I do about the thing I’m about to suggest - but has anyone started any of the ubiquitous "Online Signature Lists" that we see for just about every other aspect of human culture (and entertainment - you know, "Sign here if you want to see the "Designing Women TV Reunion!" or "Sign this to get xx obscure 7 episode series cancelled 10 years ago granted a 2 Season guarantee on Sci Fi" or what have you - surely a Spike Movie is worthy? I want a SPike movie - and by Spike, I mean Spike AND as many other Buffy/Angel-verse characters as we can possibly fit in (without jeopardizing the story and making it simply a "Oh there’s Xander!" type cameo every 5 minutes. I’d said Willow is a must - a MUST, and Illyria would be great (and revealing who survived and what happened after the alley is - at a minimum - one of the absolute MUST COVER points of the movie, so forget any sort of prequel business (though flashbacks are fine, but can’t imagine what could be worthy that hasn’t been touched upon Angel or Buffy already). Drusilla obviously needs to be a part of it, having been part of Spike for the hundred + years before the 4 we saw him single on Buffy/Angel means she should still play a great deal in his thoughts. Call me psycho, but I have ex’s I was only together with for a year and a half that I still think about (and am close friends with) after 10 years, and a couple of them are way more psycho than Dru, so let’s be realistic about that at least!. I’d say DB and SMG are beyond hoping for - Though SMG *might* be ready to do a cameo (oh, if ONLY that would lead to some Buffy TV movies - or, Willow TV Movies, my personal dream). And actually, aren’t (forgive me for not using the actor’s names - I feel like a name dropper doing that_ but aren’t Willow, Xander, GIles, and Spike all chummy anyway? WOuldn’t that be a great source of a myriad insanely interesting storlyines that would more than stand without ANgel and Buffy? Perhaps all the slayers are going insane and have to be put down (a result of the Activation Spell - leadling nicely into why there were no Slayers called for 200 years before Fray) - also keeping that dark, gut wrenching feel Whedon often tackles? And yes - Buffy could have died hroically well before - maybe only a handful of ewvil crazed Dana types running around, and Giles researching desperatly to find out why while trying to re-activate the normal Slayer line for someone to fight the dark - blah blah blah - so much could be done! Hey, I’d really like to write some novels with the ideas I’ve come up with - is there any chance fans can submit ideas or portions of a novel for potential publishing? (Sorry probably been asked a zillion times..) As always got off track - just shows how deep and vast this tract of fiction-but-we-love-it-dearly world of Buffy/Angeldom affects us all (hey, at least I didn’t say "effects" = see? I can write a novel! Newton
