"Serenity" Movie Comes Home for Christmas

One of my biggest disappointments this year had come with the box office for Serenity. How could a refreshingly new sci-fi adventure that features an entertaining mix of action and dialogue not pull off the big numbers? This question has had me scratching my head for some time, but maybe we can expect the film to pull a Firefly when released to DVD this December.

What can we say, the people over at Universal are quick movers. Offering special screenings months before Serenity hit theatres, the group is ready to immediately turn this film into DVD sales just in time for Christmas.

Here are some of the features that will be included with the Serenity DVD:

-Deleted scenes
-Outtakes
-"Future History: The Story of Earth That Was" featurette
-"What’s in a Firefly" featurette
-"Re-Lighting the Firefly" featurette

-English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks

Serenity will be released to DVD on December 20th.
