Has anyone considered that the only reason Angel, Spike and Illyria are facing off against the senior partners alone is because they are already dead.
Maybe the death of gunn, wesly and lindsey is a way of getting to the place where angel spike and illayria are, and about to fight the senior partners.
This way everyone dies trying to save the apocolypse.
